Over 30 years experience of working with Adolescents, Adults and Older Adults as a Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist and Clinical Psychologist I am able to offer a safe, reliable, confidential and ethical Psychotherapy Service.
Having trained at internationally renowned centres of excellence at The Tavistock Clinic and The Institute of Psychiatry in London, I have worked both in Private Practice and as a Consultant Adult Psychotherapist in the NHS.
Depression, stress or anxiety, problems in relationships, feeling stuck, having trouble adjusting to changes and losses are some of the reasons people may seek help.
My way of working is based on a belief that there can be more going on in our minds than we are aware of and that our past experiences affect how we think, feel, act and relate.
Understanding what is going on underneath the surface can help us feel freer to make changes, move forward, realise our potential and make the most of our lives.
An initial consultation can help to clarify what is causing concern. Sometimes this opportunity to talk things through can be enough in itself, at others something more is needed and we can work out what this may be.
I may be able to offer help myself or make a recommendation.
The individual therapy I offer can be brief or long term Psychoanalytic/Psychodynamic Psychotherapy which may be once weekly or more frequently.
Supervision, case discussion, reflective practice for qualified Psychotherapists, Psychologists, Counsellors, and to those in training is also offered individually or in groups.
Please have a look at the FAQ page if you would like more information on cost, what kind of help I can offer, who I have experience of working with, what it may be like to be in therapy and what to do if you want to think about pursuing help for yourself.
My North West London psychotherapy practice is within easy reach of Queens Park, Kensal Rise, Kilburn, Willesden Green, Cricklewood and West Hampstead.
